Through our travels down Borneo we crossed into the Smallest country in South East Asia - Brunei...
We happened to arrive the day before the Sultan's 65th Birthday! He was having a huge celebration and everyone was invited sooo... When in Rome and all that! We soaked up some of the alcohol free atmosphere & admired the public's love for their Sultan....
Locals also said that you have an opportunity to meet him at his Palace - You can shake his hand and he gives you a gift of $10 Brunei Dollars... Unfortunately i cannot confirm whether that's true or not....
