Argentina - Mendoza - Review & Farewell...

When i read about Mendoza in the book (Lonely Planet) it didn't seem like anything special to be honest vin yards blah blah blah..... We are not wine connoisseurs! we´ll drink almost anything that's in front of us! & NO!! i cant smell the cherries, vanilla and chocolate in the wine etc..
As Ive mentioned before, i feel the only way to know about what a city has to offer is by being amongst it....
As a GRINGO (Tourist, Foreigner) its hard enough.... but this small hostel ran by a Spanish bloke from Madrid, who happened to be a R.Madrid Fan. Made us feel so welcome, over and above any hostel we´ve been too to date.. It seemed that all his customers. were his pals, we happened to be 2 of only 3 English speaking people the rest spoke only Spanish. At first i was apprehensive as it frustrated me that i was unable to converse with them or fully understand what they were saying...... This bloke shared beers with us, introduced us to his friends, taught us local traditions & customs. During the nights we spent here, we truly felt amongst the locals.... Funny really what a few Cervezas (Beers) can do!

If your ever in Mendoza find this hostel on Peru St

Also.....Jade managed to Stub her toe Twice in the Same place in the space of Two hours
We...think she´s broken it!!!.....but she´s managing OK.........

Thank You.....
