Chile - San Pedro De Atacama

This little town is situated at the very top of Chile surrounded by Desert, Salt Lakes & Active Volcanoes

Crossing the Andes from Argentina to Chile

The entire north of Chile seemed to be extremely Baron Dry and Desert like

These huts reminded me of something out of a Star wars Film

Volcano is due to erupt in 2012............

I understood what this store sold the 1st time....

For some reason Christmas, just doesn´t feel like Christmas

Argentina - Mendoza - Review & Farewell...

When i read about Mendoza in the book (Lonely Planet) it didn't seem like anything special to be honest vin yards blah blah blah..... We are not wine connoisseurs! we´ll drink almost anything that's in front of us! & NO!! i cant smell the cherries, vanilla and chocolate in the wine etc..
As Ive mentioned before, i feel the only way to know about what a city has to offer is by being amongst it....
As a GRINGO (Tourist, Foreigner) its hard enough.... but this small hostel ran by a Spanish bloke from Madrid, who happened to be a R.Madrid Fan. Made us feel so welcome, over and above any hostel we´ve been too to date.. It seemed that all his customers. were his pals, we happened to be 2 of only 3 English speaking people the rest spoke only Spanish. At first i was apprehensive as it frustrated me that i was unable to converse with them or fully understand what they were saying...... This bloke shared beers with us, introduced us to his friends, taught us local traditions & customs. During the nights we spent here, we truly felt amongst the locals.... Funny really what a few Cervezas (Beers) can do!

If your ever in Mendoza find this hostel on Peru St

Also.....Jade managed to Stub her toe Twice in the Same place in the space of Two hours
We...think she´s broken it!!!.....but she´s managing OK.........

Thank You.....

Argentina - Chos Malal

We visited this place with very little information in our guide book but apparently what Jade had read was that there was hot springs and mud baths..... We were the only 2 tourists in the entire town and the only Tourist Office was closed for the entire weekend!

At times it´s not as picturesque as one my think....

Jade is not happy about walking in the blistering heat for a total of 6 hours.
This picture was taken within the 1st 20 minutes.......

We then stumbled upon the carcass of a horse

Have you ever seen the Hills Have Eyes??
Our imaginations where running a little wild shortly after this point.....

We eventually found a natural spring................
Plagued with Mosquitoes, huge Horse Flies & Stunk off Rotten Eggs!!
